Platinum Bullion Approved for IRA Investment

In 1997, Congress passed the Taxpayer Relief Act. Since that time, bullion that meets the minimum purity requirement has been approved for inclusion into precious metal IRAs. Owning these investment grade metals can further diversify one’s retirement holdings by adding a tangible asset that, unlike stocks and bonds, has inherent value.

All platinum bullion bars with a minimum pureness of 0.9995% and NYMEX- or COMEX- approved refiner/assayer hallmark may be added to an IRA.
