Manufactured in Switzerland, the Pamp Suisse Bar contains 1 gram of .9999 fine gold. Renowned for both its quality and popularity, each gold bar arrives with an assay card, certifying the bar’s weight and purity.
Similar to other products produced by the Pamp Suisse Refinery, the obverse of each bar displays an image of the Roman goddess Fortuna. In Roman mythology, Fortuna represented fortune as well as fairness and blind judgement. Fortuna is pictured with a cornucopia, a universal symbol that represents abundance, prosperity and nourishment.
The reverse of the bar has a shiny, mirrored finish with the words “Suisse,” “1g,” “Fine Gold,” and “999.9” engraved along with an individualized serial number that is seen near the bottom. The serial number on the bar and the number on the assay card are an exact match. Two separate Pamp Suisse logos are seen at both the top and bottom of the bar.

great looking bar and quality, however the assay card appears to have been designed for their 1gram and possibly their 2.5g bar? Thus when mine came in the bar was sideways in the case. and doesnt fit snug and securely. after this bar i switched over to perth mints 1g bars as this was not the case with them

Beautiful Product. I had read a few of the comments before ordering and I can tell you it they are secure in the card, that comment was unfounded. These are really great items. They work for your IRA as well. This is just want I needed to help teach my children about the investing, gold, and the US economy.. These are great, they make great gifts to help encourage others into starting their own long-term investments without the original purchaser having to worry about a child loosing a fortune. They are easy to unload, and are just the right size for a tank of fuel after a hurricane.

Predictably, the detail of the 1 gram fortuna bars is not as good as the 1 ounce bars and the packaging is not as snug but these are still nice gifts and are handy to have around for special occasions when one is not sure what gift to give someone.
