One of the most affordable means available to invest in bullion precious metals is the minted ingot. Bars such as those made from gold, silver, platinum, and palladium typically come with lower premiums over the spot price than bullion coins from sovereign mints. With simple designs and wide availability, bullion pieces such as platinum bars are an excellent option for any investor. Provident Metals now has 1 Gram Platinum Bars available to you for purchase online.
When you purchase a 1 Gram Platinum Bar in this product listing, you will receive an item that comes from Valcambi Suisse in brand-new condition. Each platinum bar has its own secure packaging. The bar is set at the center of the capsule packaging and surrounded by an assay card. On that assay card, you will find authenticating details that include the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar. You will also find the matching serial number on the card.
For the obverse design of 1 Gram Platinum Bars from Valcambi Suisse, the mint logo is the primary design element outside of the text inscriptions. The Valcambi Suisse logo is based on historic imagery featured in cultures around the globe, from the Tibetan Mandalas to the Italian garden labyrinths of the 18th century. The design features a square housing with four equal triangles inside. The inscriptions featured on this side of the bar include 1g, platinum, and 999,5. There is also an inscription of the unique serial number on this side in its two-letter, six-number digit code.
In the reverse design element, the 1 Gram Platinum Bar features the mint name and a unique take on the Valcambi Suisse logo. The inscription of Valcambi Suisse is found along the vertical left of the bar. Were you to hold the bar horizontally, you would read this along the top face of the bar. In the lower-right corner, you will find the Valcambi logo with squares radiating from the center of the logo to all corners of the design field.
Platinum commonly occurs naturally around alluvial sands along rivers. As such, it was first used by the pre-Columbian indigenous tribes of South America. The first references to the metal in European writings came in the early 15th century. However, it was Antonio de Ulloa who first published a report on the new metal in 1748.
