Obverse

The obverse side of the Silver 2022 Germania Round comes with a powerful image of Germania. Here, she strikes a confident pose as she strides ashore in a new land. She has left her vessel, featured in the background, after a long journey at sea and is ready for what lies ahead. As she comes ashore, she wields the Reichsschwert in her right hand and a shield with the double-headed eagle in her left. Additionally, there is a double-headed eagle flying by her side. The field comes with inscriptions of GERMANIA, 2022, 1 KG, AG, and 999.9.

Reverse

On the reverse face of 1 Kilo Silver Germania Rounds, you will find the double-headed eagle seal of the Germania Mint. This ancient design is associated with the Roman god Janus, but was also popular with the Roman Empire and other empires over the last 200 years, such as the German, Austro-Hungarian, and Russian Empires. The double-headed eagle clutches lightning bolts in its talons and is flanked by olive branches. The inscriptions include only 80 MARK and GERMANIA.

History

To date, the Germania Mints Germania Series has offered new obverse depictions of the female allegorical figure. The 2021 and 2022 designs are the first to be closely tied to one another, as this new design shows the conclusion of Germanias sea journey that started in the 2021 design.
