The earlier release of the statue was 8 oz, and featured the exact same Coco the Dragon design. The design was imagined and sculpted by Jesse Sandifer.
Historically, the dragon is a fantasy creature that is most often depicted with a scale-covered body and large powerful wings. Dragons were also said to have been fire breathers, which was how they destroyed villages and hunted their prey.
The dragon appears in cultures all over the world. In European history, the dragon was a large reptile, with average intelligence, with four legs and a pair of powerful wings. In Chinese, Japanese, and other East Asian cultures, the dragon was depicted as more of a serpentine creature with above-average intelligence. The dragons were often shown with two legs and no wings.

Her muscular body appears to be poised to launch at prey or enemies. The design of the dragon depicts the beast as having pointed horns, a scaled covered body, and razor-sharp talons.
