As the second-ever gold bullion coin, following the Gold Krugerrand, the Gold Maple Leaf is cherished by investors worldwide for its government-backed purity and weight. Crafted with stunning designs and .9999 pure gold content (except for 4 specific release years), this coin is a staple in the gold bullion world. Now, you can secure your 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins online from Provident Metals.
Coin Highlights:
At Provident Metals, you have the opportunity to acquire a 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf from various release years. This coin, marking its debut in 1979, has been consistently minted as a gold bullion since then. These coins might exhibit surface abrasions resulting from handling or storage. These coins will arrive inside protective plastic flips, preserving their condition.
An abrasion on a coin may manifest as minor flaws caused by friction or rubbing, often seen on the coins raised surfaces or in the background. While we guarantee the delivery of a 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf coin, the specific year of issue may vary based on current stock availability when your order is processed for shipping. Notably, Gold Maple Leafs from 1979-1982 contain .999 pure gold, while those from November 1982 onwards boast .9999 pure gold content.
Obverse
The obverse of the 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins displays either Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II or His Majesty King Charles III. From 1979 to 2023, the coins predominantly featured Queen Elizabeth II in one of three portraits. Beginning in 2024, King Charles III’s effigy is now presented on the obverse of the 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coin.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the Gold Maple Leaf, discover the timeless sugar maple leaf design, conceptualized by Walter Ott in 1979 and still adorning the Canadian Maple Leaf coins today.
History
Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coins debuted in 1979, offering investors the only other gold bullion investment coin, outside of the South African Krugerrand. The 1 oz gold coin in this series has been released annually since then. In 1982, the series started offering these coins with a purity of .9999, making it the first gold bullion coin to do so.
