History

This series of rounds from Intaglio Mint is directly inspired by the paintings of the artist Edoardo Gioja. Based in Italy, Gioja lived from 1862 until 1937. In addition to portraits of the human figure, he also painted landscapes and completed numerous drawings and sketches as well. The Four Seasons consists of four drawings of different women, each one representing the mood and spirit of the seasons.
