The left-profile portraits on this side represent Michael Collins, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin. The portraits of the three astronauts are set behind an image of the lunar surface in which an individual boot print from an astronaut remains imprinted on the Moon. Inscriptions within the design field include 50^th Anniversary and 2019. Around the design rim, you will notice inscriptions of the names of the three men.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 1 oz Silver Apollo 11 The Crew Rounds is an image of the Apollo 11 mission patch. This patch features a bald eagle touching down on the lunar surface with an olive branch in its talons. Earth is visible in the cold openness of space in the background, with inscriptions in the design field that include Apollo 11, 1969, 2019, and 50^th Anniversary. Around the design rim are the inscriptions of One Ounce and .999 Fine Silver.

History

Collins, Aldrin, and Armstrong were in space for just over eight days on the Apollo 11 mission. Of the three, only Aldrin and Armstrong entered the Eagle lunar lander to descend to the surface of the Moon. As Command Module Pilot, Collins remained in lunar orbit within the command module.
