Available as low as $2.39 per round over spot!

America is home to many small private minting facilities, including SilverTowne. This Indiana-based company was originally a small coin shop that opened up in 1949. However, in 1973, the mint began creating its own bullion products, many of which feature historical U.S. coin designs or unique imagery. Today, you can purchase the 1 oz Silver SilverTowne Liberty Eagle Round from Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Ships in protective plastic flips, tubes of 20, or boxes of 500!
  • Unique Liberty Eagle design created by SilverTowne!
  • Each round contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Liberty Eagle appears on the obverse face of the round.
  • Reverse face is blank.
  • Eligible of Precious Metals IRAs.

Bald eagles are one of the most important and recognizable symbols of the United States of America. The bald eagle was recognized as part of U.S. culture long before Lady Liberty was put in place in the New York City harbor to greet immigrants coming into the country via ship.

The products in this listing ship to your door in protective plastic flips to prevent damage to the metal. Bulk options offer the additional protection of tubes and possibly boxes.

Obverse

On the obverse face of each round, you will see the image of an American bald eagle. In the design, the bird is in flight and its wings are spread out wide. The eagles talons can be seen beneath its body. Engraved into this side of the coin, you will see the word Liberty. There are also thirteen stars at the end of rays of light to represent the original thirteen colonies of the country.

Reverse

The reverse side of the round is mostly blank. The blank part of the coin has a matte finish. When you order these coins directly from SilverTowne, you can customize the reverse design. However, purchases made through authorized dealers will include blank rounds.

History

The Founding Fathers chose the bald eagle as a symbol of the United States because they are known to be powerful. These birds are majestic birds of prey that live long lives. The bald eagle is even featured on the first official coins of the nation, which were released in 1792.
