I have really enjoyed buying with Provident, however my last order of 10 ounce bars was rough. I know these are secondary market but wow they looked like they had been used as a football. This is my first “not so great” order. It is okay this time but I would hope for better. Over all still pleased with Provident.

Picked up two bars during a recent sale. Both were Provident branded bars in great shape. Not as lucky as some other reviewers (sometimes a nice surprise to get something older/poured) but still a great deal with free shipping.

I bought during an at spot sale which automatically makes this five stars…but…I received a collectible chunky style A-Mark stacker, probably made in the 80?s…making this a greater than five star transaction…thanks Provident!

As my first silver bullion purchase ever I wanted to touch it but the bag wasn’t resealable so I had to cut it open to be able to touch the silver.

Even though the bar I received was a bit smashed in a few places, it was still a good deal. I’m interested in silver more than good looks. It still weighs the same.

This was my first random 10 oz bar and am very happy with the transaction. Purchase was processed quickly, item arrived quickly, and I was happy to receive an OPM Provident Bar still in its plastic. You just can’t go wrong with Provident.

I bought secondary market and that was what I got. Pretty straight forward. I got two A-Mark Bars. One was a little more dinged than the other, but I ultimately got exactly what I bought: Secondary market 10OZ bars that were really not in bad shape. They were not really that bad and looked like some of the other 10OZ bars I have had in my stack for a few years with dings on them from handling.

A little disappointed. I received a new OPM bar. For the same price I could have picked out my own generic bar, like a Provident, Year of the Rooster or American flag. Oh well. Still shipped lightning fast and it is 10 ozs of silver so still a 5 star transaction.

This is my 7th or 8th “our choice” 10 ozt bar I have purchased from Provident Metals, and prior, they have all been very common generic bars, but this one was a Scottsdale Stacker in mint condition. I am totally pleased with the selection I was given. Will continue to do business with Provident every opportunity I get!

I mailed my M/O on the same day that I placed my first order & my bars arrived 6 days later. They returned my call, next day, when I saw the item was out of stock. My only issue was with the condition of 1 of the 2 silver bars. I’m already saving up for my next order with Provident because they’re cheaper than any other site & the customer service & processing time is the best in the industry.

3/3 ntr bars, well packaged and seem to be new. They even included a lollipop! My only minor complaint is that they shipped ups as opposed to USPS, and the shipping wasnt as quick as usual.

Placed an order for 2 on 8/19 via m/o and received order on 8/25!!! Can’t ask for better service. But I mistakenly ordered these Secondary Market bars, in the excitement of placing my 1st order. Still I received 2 Sunshine Mint bars. 1 is good as new, in original pouch. 2nd shows signs of frequent handling and was in a plastic bag taped shut. People PLS wipe your precious metals with a soft cloth to remove oils from fingers. Better yet, keep ’em in their original packaging for the next owner.

I like the their option purchase. Done it a couple times and this time I got all the same. 10 OPM 10OZ bars. Would have liked to gotten a mix but can’t complain since the price went up a lot from the time I ordered and received it. Will do again.

Great product, everything was as promised. I was hoping to get a mix of bars but I just got 3/3 OPM bars. I would have preferred an assortment but it is very clear that the selection is at their whim and you may get duplicates and/or boring bars. I’m buying for the silver content alone, was just hoping for some curiosities in terms of manufacture/design. There packaging was superb, almost a little too good. The bars look completely new and clean, and are sealed in plastic sleeves which I don’t want to remove them from to weigh, as I normally would. Hard to be mad about too nice of packaging though. I ordered on the 20th, sent them a money order, and received my bars on the 29th, which is damn quick shipping as far as I am concerned. Friendly customer service, quick shipping, and the lowest prices I can find online. Definitely Provident is my new go to for online bullion purchasing.

Bought a 10 oz bar a few weeks ago and got a generic Provident Metals bar, the most common and least premium bar. Thought I’d take another chance and just received my 2nd bar and was happy to see an NTR bar. Gave it 4 stars because of the least premium bar but the ad does say “our choice” so no big deal. Was hoping for an Engelhard. Both bars shipped securely. Provident has lower premiums than another company that I use.

Took my chances and received a Year of the Goat bar. Appears brand new. Fast shipping as always from Provident. Will definitely get my generic silver this way again in the future.

I was hoping for some kind of surprise. I got two of the generic provident 10oz bars. No surprise this time, but everything was as advertised. I’ve got some 1oz bars of their choice on their way. I’ll review those once I get them. The grab bag is always fun at least! Provident is amazing to do business with.

Got another Pan American bar. They must like giving them to me. It was scuffed and dirty. How can this be as it is in its original plastic.

I ordered 10 of these bars and was very happy with the product. The bars are in near perfect condition and are a good design. Also, the markup is unbeatable.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the plastic wraps the bars came in were dirty and gave off a residue that clung to the bars. This was not a huge deal however – the bars cleaned up with about a minute of work per bar.

Received two Johnson-Matthey bars that – while not quite as shiny as new were Fantastic.
Look, I’m here to buy silver as an investment; buy low and sell high is the plan. A little less, shiny or scratched or dented or not in a bag is irrelevant to me.

I just received my first order using the our choice option on 10oz bars and I got a few 1oz rounds as well.
The rounds were all generic but all in as new or close condition and I’m pleased. The 10oz bar was a republic bar with the protective cover still in place and I’m overall satisfied especially at the price over spot that I paid……I feel I got my monies worth and have ordered more with hopes that I get lucky and get a name brand or two in my next shipment . Overall I’m happy as I got what I was thinking I would get with the order being all generic.

Got a Year of the Snake bar. Already have one but I can’t complain Its bran new in the sealed plastic.

I received a collectable vintage MTB bar with a very low serial number in nice condition. Has a lot of collectible value on top of it’s bullion value so I’m very, very pleased. Can’t believe I got something so great! Shipped quick and packaged well. Will try my luck again in the future on these “our choice” bars. Love the mystery of it!

Got a Republic Bank of New York bar. Its something different, which is why I choose this option. Im 50/50 on choosing “our choice”. Win some lose some. By lose I mean something I could have just bought bran new for less.

Bar 1: NTR. Good condition, can’t complain.
Bar 2: OPM Not as good condition, but still can’t really complain since these are circulated. This OPM bar was barely worse than the new in plastic OPM bar I bought from Provident previously. See my OPM 10oz bar review.

Both of these bars we shipped without plastic. Both were put in the same bag without anything separating them from each other. I don’t think they got much scratched beyond how they started, but why not just add a little bit of a layer so they don’t degrade in shipment? Anyways, the package they were shipped in was really good.

This would be a 5 star review if it was not for the bars being packed better.

got OPM bar, looks and feel old bar. it would have been better to purchase NEW OPM bar by paying $1.50 more. Scratches, dings, wear on edges,no plastic cover and tarnish make this bar look old.. i was hoping for superior bar of choice. I WILL NEVER let Provident choose again.

I’m a first time customer and rolled the dice on some 10oz bars. The two I received were Apmex still in the factory plastic. The plastic on both had a little shelf wear since they obviously have changed hands a couple times before landing at my house. One of the bars has a slightly ripped corner.

All in all I’d say this was a good purchase. I’ll buy more. At the time of writing these are all sold out.

I got a NTR bar. I could of just bought a NTR bar, what can I say. Next time ill forgo the mystery and buy a NTR bar.

Ordered three of these and, after reading some of the reviews, was a little disappointed as two were NTR bars and the third World Wide Mint. Shipped in loose ziplock baggies but packaged well and all bars were in good shape. I will buy these again as the luck of the draw may be with me in the future.

…when you buy from the “designs of our choice” expecting some generic silver bar and then you open the package and find a nice brand-name bar (Engelhard) staring up at you! I will surely order again:)

Received 30 of these awesome bars. Nearly credit card size about 3/4 inch thick.
Most of these bars were in excellent condition. 1 or 2 were a slight bit scruffy but no big deal at all. At the time of this review, i paid $305.00 per bar. The silver price actually dropped below 30$ today.

I purchased 10 of these. They were all sealed and seemed to be brand new. Most of them were name brands which they normally charge more for.

I ordered two of these “our choice” bars late last week (on 2/29) and took delivery of them yesterday (3/5). Delivery was fast and the packaging was very discreet. The bars looked practically brand new, save for a few minor dings. I am very pleased with Provident Metals, their service is impeccable.

I ordered 10 of these and all came in good condition and were well packed. Only one, however, do I like better then the NTR bars which command a $2 premium when it’s time to sell them. That said I’ll likely roll the dice again on these bars. Who knows maybe next time I’ll get something cool.

I’m glad to know that Provident doesn’t just pick the cheapest bar on the market to make a quick buck. Having a beautiful collection of unique pieces of physical silver is important to me as it helps reduce the temptation to sell my investment when I “need” money for a new gadget. I’m excited to order a few more and see what turns up!
