The date mark of 1826 is featured below the bust of the King.

Reverse

History

When King Victor Emmanuel II of Sardinia unified the Italian peninsula into one Kingdom of Italy, the Sardinian lira became the currency of the new kingdom. However, it was known as the Italian lira from that point forward.
