The Pre-33 $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin was available from the United States Mint from 1849 to 1933, with one design element serving much longer in this series than the other. That design was the Lady Liberty, or Liberty Coronet, from James B. Longacre. Provident Metals now has 1857-S Pre-33 $20 Liberty Double Eagle Gold Coins in certified condition available to purchase online.
