Liberty features on the obverse side of 1884-CC Morgan Dollars. George T. Morgan created this left-profile relief of Liberty in 1878. The design shows Liberty with a Phrygian cap holding up much of her hair while both a coronet crown and a laurel wreath rest on her head. The field includes 13 stars with inscriptions of E PLURIBUS UNUM and 1884.
Reverse
The heraldic eagle of the United States is depicted in the reverse design of 1884-CC Morgan Dollar Silver Coins. This image features the bald eagle in front-facing relief with its wings spread wide and its talons clutching the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace. History
The 1884-CC Morgan Dollar was the second-to-last issue from the Carson City Mint before a three-year hiatus. The Carson City Mint issued the Morgan Dollars from 1878 to 1885, paused production from 1886 to 1888, and then resumed coining from 1889 until its closure in 1893.
