Surrounding the image are 13 stars, representing the original 13 colonies, and inscriptions. Inscriptions read E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1885, and LIBERTY.
Reverse
On the reverse side, the 1885-O Morgan Silver Coin features George T. Morgan’s depiction of a bald eagle in front-facing relief, gripping arrows, and an olive branch in its talons. Identifying marks surround the majestic eagle. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, O, and ONE DOLLAR.
