The journey of Peace Dollars began on December 27, 1921, when the Philadelphia Mint commenced production. Within a few days, over 1 million coins were struck. The year 1922 witnessed the largest minting of Peace Silver Dollars in a single year by the United States Mint.

The obverse design of the 1922 Peace Dollar Silver Coin showcases Lady Liberty, sculpted by Anthony de Francisci. Her graceful profile is adorned with a majestic crown, and her flowing hair adds a touch of elegance to this iconic coin. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 1922.

On the reverse, you will find the American bald eagle in a distinctive pose. Unlike other American coin designs, this eagle stands perched with wings at its side, clutching an olive branch in its talons. The absence of war arrows and the US national shield makes this design truly unique. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.

In total, over 84 million coins were struck across the Philadelphia Mint, Denver Mint, and San Francisco Mint. The Philadelphia Mint alone accounted for 51.737 million coins. While the Denver Mint never surpassed its 1922 release, San Francisco managed to surpass its 1922 mintage just once, in the following year, 1923.

These certified 1922 Peace Silver Dollar Coins are available in Mint State 64 condition. Each coin possesses its own individuality, with average mint luster, a few small contact marks in groups, one or two heavier marks, and one or two patches of small hairlines.
