Details
These 22-karat gold coins have a metallic composition of 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver, and will be preserved to you in protective, plastic flips which are designed to keep them in optimal condition.
Obverse
On the obverse, Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ iconic image of Lady Liberty is featured. She is depicted in his design with free-flowing hair and a brilliant robe covering her figure as she walks forth from the capital holding a flaming torch almost as if she is guiding the country forward to glory and victory.
Reverse
The reverse features the design created solely for use on the American Gold Eagle series. Created by Miley Busiek, it depicts a female eagle confidently guarding the nest of hatchlings while a male flies overhead.
