From 2003 to 2005, the American Eagle Silver Coins barely budged in terms of demand from one year to the next. The mintage did rise each year during this period, with the 2003 coin marking the lowest point and the 2005 coin the highest point, but only with a difference of 400,000 coins from 2003 to 2005. Today, you have an opportunity to purchase 2004 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins in near-perfect condition online at Provident Metals.

American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are produced by the United States Mint annually to meet the demand of investors. The series launched in 1986 with a Brilliant Uncirculated and Proof version of the coin available. In 2006, the United States Mint expanded the series to include a Burnished version of the popular coin as a second collectible option.

Obverse

On the obverse side of 2004 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of Liberty known as Walking Liberty. Created by Adolph A. Weinman, the design shows Liberty walking toward the sun on the horizon with her left hand carrying the branches of oak and laurel with her right hand reaching out toward the sun. The American flag is shown blowing over the shoulders of Liberty in the design element. Liberty is inscribed above the field, In God We Trust behind Liberty, and 2004 below the field.

Reverse

The reverse face of the 2004 American Eagle Silver Coin features the modern heraldic eagle of the United States. This design was modified in 1986 by John Mercanti for the American Eagle Silver Coins and features a triangular cluster of 13 stars over the head of the eagle as a unique element. The bird clutches an olive branch in one talon and the arrows of war in the other talon. The US national shield is on the birds chest.

History

The 2004 American Eagle Silver Coin had a total mintage of 8.882 million coins. This was up just under 400,000 coins from the previous year and kept the mintage figures for the three-year stretch of 2003-2005 within close range of one another.

Ordering

2004 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins in this product listing come with near-perfect Mint State 69 certifications. Coins in this condition have full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Those flaws are located outside of the primary focal points of the coin and consist of only minuscule contact marks or hairlines.
