She extends her right hand toward the brightness of the sun as she carries branches of oak and laurel in her left hand while her figure is draped in the American flag. The heraldic eagle of the United States is found on the reverse side of 2006-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins. This design was modified for this release in 1986 by John Mercanti and features a powerful bald eagle in front-facing relief. The eagle supports the US National Shield with the arrows of war and olive branch of peace in its talons. The design field includes a triangular cluster of 13 stars overhead.
