Obverse

Walking Liberty is found on the obverse of the 2007 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. This design comes from Adolph A. Weinman. Created in 1916, it was submitted to the US Mint for consideration as a replacement for Barber Coinage designs. It was chosen for the US Half Dollar and graced that coin from 1916 to 1947. The inscriptions found on the modern version of the design include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2007.

Reverse

For the reverse field of 2007 American Eagle Silver Coins, the US Mint features a modernized version of the national emblem. The heraldic eagle of the United States of America was revamped for this coin series in 1986 by John Mercanti. It depicts the American bald eagle in front-facing relief as it supports the US national shield. It clutches in its talons the olive branch of peace and the arrows of war. Above its head, a triangular cluster of 13 stars is featured to symbolize the original American colonies that formed a more perfect union together. History

American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins come in three versions each year: Brilliant Uncirculated, Proof, and Burnished. The BU coin is the only option in the series that the US Mint is legally mandated to provide each year. The Liberty Coin Act passed in July 1985 authorized the production of the series and mandated that the BU specimens be produced and delivered to meet the demand of investors each year without fail.
