The mintage of the 2007-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin hit 58,553, the highest since 1995 and its sales of 62,667 coins. The 2008 mintage dropped by 30,000 coins and the 2010 coin fell about 4,000 shy of the 2007 mintage after a lack of coins in 2009. Since 2011, demand has fallen each year to record lows in the series.
