Gold Buffalo coins, like the American Eagle, are released every year by the United States Mint with the exact same iconic design. The front depicts a Native American, while the reverse shows a majestic bison. Few designs are as simple and elegant as these. They honor both American heritage and American progress, which helps explain why investors and collectors continue to seek this classic coin year after year. Now, you have the chance to purchase the 2010 American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coin from Provident Metals.
When you order 2010 American Buffalo 1 oz Coins in this Provident Metals listing online, you will receive a coin protected inside a plastic flip. Or if you order multiples of 20, they will arrive inside a tube. All of the coins in this listing were manufactured directly at the United States Mint.
On the obverse side of 2010 American Buffalo Gold Coins is a portrait of an indigenous tribal figure. This famous design combines different elements from three separate chiefs who sat for James Earle Fraser. You will find this same design on the obverse of classic Buffalo Nickel coins. Inscriptions on the obverse include the word LIBERTY and 2010.
The reverse image on 2010 Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coins is of a bison. This beautiful creature is shown facing left and standing atop a dirt mound. He is meant to represent the pioneer westward spirit of America. Youll find inscriptions that read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, $50, 1 OZ .9999 FINE GOLD.
When the Gold Buffalo was released on June 20th, 2006, it was met with an enthusiastic reception. Not only did this coin feature the Buffalo Nickel design many were already very fond of, but it also was minted using 99.99% gold. The Gold Eagle, by comparison, is minted with 91.67% gold. The mint chose to release Gold Buffalos in 24-karat largely to stay on par with other countries that had their own .9999 gold products. Today, very few coins produced by the United States Mint have the same prestige and demand of American Gold Buffalos.
