In the eight-year release period of 2008 to 2015, the American Eagle Silver Coin set seven sales records, most of which stood for just one year before being surpassed in the following year. The 2011 American Eagle Silver Coin would be the only one in this period to enjoy two years as the new, albeit temporary, mintage record for the series. Provident Metals now offers 2011 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins to you for purchase online in near-perfect condition.

When you purchase a 2011 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin from Provident Metals, the item you receive in this particular listing comes with a near-perfect certification. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster and come with no more than two minor detracting flaws present. Acceptable flaws at this certification level include only minuscule contact marks and hairlines found outside of the primary focal points of the coin.

Obverse

The obverse face of the 2011 American Eagle Silver Coin comes with the design of Walking Liberty. This work of art was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman for the US Mints half-dollar coin. It featured on the half dollars struck between 1916 and 1947. The design shows Liberty walking toward the sun with her right hand outstretched and her left hand carrying the branches of oak and laurel.

Reverse

On the reverse side of the 2011 American Eagle Silver Coins, you will find a modern version of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This popular design has featured on countless denominations of American currency since 1795. The design shown on these American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins was modified in 1986 by John Mercanti for use on this coin series and other products from the US Mint.

History

A total of 40.020 million coins were sold in the 2011 American Eagle Silver Coin release. This was the first date mark in the history of the series to surpass 40 million coins and showed an increase in demand compared to 2010 of 5.3 million coins, one of the largest single-year increases in the history of the program. The 2011 American Eagle Silver Coin was the last in a four-year period of growing demand as the 2012 coin would experience a dip in demand, though still retaining a very high mintage figure.
