Along with an artistic display, the obverse features a stylish dragon facing the Chinese symbol for dragon. Inscribed at the top of the round is “YEAR OF THE DRAGON.”
The reverse showcases the Forbidden City, which served as the emperors home for nearly 500 years from the Ming Dynasty through the Qing Dynasty. The Ming Dynasty ruled China from 1368-1644 and was replaced by the Qing from 1644-1912. The Forbidden City is now the Palace Museum and shows extensive artifacts and artworks from the two dynasties.
Inscribed on the reverse is “1 oz .999 FINE SILVER” and “WWW.PROVIDENTMETALS.COM,” as well as the initials GSM for the Golden State Mint.

I received my order today in perfect condition with discreet packaging. This was my first order with Provident and couldn’t be more pleased. I have a second order stil on back order and can’t wait.
The only issue I have that concerns me is with USPS and not Provident. I arrived home to find my $1.500 dollar order sitting in my mailbox when a signature was required. Thankfully some scumbag didn’t come by and snag it.

The year of the dragon from perth mint was originally what I was after. Then the premiums got so high on the perth coins and I just wanted a coin to commemorate the year of the dragon for my collection. I settled for this, but I am happy to report I did not “settle for less”. I got what I wanted -a coin with a cool dragon on it-. I am not primarily a ‘numismatic’ collector I just love silver. So consider my reviews biased in this sense.
