Struck at the Perth Mint with a limited worldwide mintage, Provident Metals is excited to carry 2014 oz Australian Gold Kangaroos. Each coin is composed of .9999 fine gold and will arrive in an original mint plastic capsule for long-term preservation.

Standing tall against an Australian background, a brawny kangaroo looks toward a field of wildflowers on the reverse. The detailed image is surrounded by inscriptions of AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO and 2014 oz 999 GOLD. A mintmark is also inscribed above tree branches to the marsupials left.

Queen Elizabeth II as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley is featured on the obverse along with ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA and 25 DOLLARS.

Native to Australia, kangaroos can adapt to many habitats with a diet consisting of plants, shrubs, grass and tree leaves. Because of the moisture in their food, the mammals can go without drinking water for lengthy periods.

The athletic animals can jump up to 10 feet high and 30 feet in distance while reaching speeds of nearly 40 mph. They are social creatures and often live in groups called mobs. When in danger, a kangaroo will alert others by thumping the ground with their large feet.

While we can’t thump our feet loud enough for you to hear, we want to alert you that this 2014 oz Gold Kangaroo won’t be available long. Make your investment now by using our online purchasing system before these kangaroos hop right off the shelf.

Perth Mint

The Perth Mint was established in 1899 after gold was found in local Australian deposits. It remained under control of Great Britain until Australia took ownership in 1970. The Government of Western Australia authorized the mint to produce legal tender coins, numismatic coins and bars, and investment-worthy precious metals.

Today, the Perth Mint manufactures almost all of the nation’s legal tender bullion coins in its state-of-the-art facility. The mint garnered attention in 2011 when it produced the world’s largest and most valuable asset — a $1 million coin weighing 2,230 pounds.
