Lady Liberty moves towards the dawn of a promising future for America, draped in the American flag. She holds laurel branches in one arm and outstretches the other towards the rising sun. Above her, “LIBERTY,” is inscribed, and below her, “2016,” is noted. This stunning Adolph Weinman design has donned the obverse of the American Silver Eagle since the coin’s inception in 1986.
The beloved John Mercanti reverse pays homage to the national bird- the bald eagle. The eagle, wings outstretched, bears a shield across its chest. 13 stars are featured above the majestic bird, representing the original 13 colonies. In its beak is a banner reading, “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” Above the regal creature, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” is inscribed and the coin’s attributes are noted below- “1 OZ FINE SILVER ~ ONE DOLLAR.”
Over the last 30 years, the American Silver Eagle has been the official $1 silver coin produced by the US Mint. The US Mint has been in operation since 1792, and 4 facilities across the nation create beautiful sovereign bullion. The ASE is most commonly minted at the West Point facility, with occasional overflow produced by the San Francisco mint. Each of these coins, however, was minted at the West Point facility.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
