Released in 2015, the Native American Silver Dollar series found itself exceptionally popular right from the get-go. The series sets out to pay tribute to the Native American tribes that once and still do call North America home, while also featuring the state they lived in and an animal that held special meaning to the tribe. The 2016 Proof Texas Comanche Longhorn 1 oz Silver Coin recognizes the Comanche tribe and the longhorn that is famously Texan. The coin ships secured in a plastic capsule, so you can ensure its protected. Each of these coins contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver and is highly collectible.

  • Delivered in a plastic capsule!
  • 4th design issued in 2016 series!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.

In the United States, only the United States Mint is permitted to produce legal tender. The coins produced by the Native American Mint are considered to be legal tender, but only by the tribes that issued them. These tribes are considered to be sovereign nations, which is why the legal loophole exists.

The Comanche Nation is headquartered in Lawton, Oklahoma and is a federally recognized tribe. The Comanche once had a reach that spread far out to Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and of course Texas.

The obverse of the 2016 Proof Texas Comanche Longhorn 1 oz Silver Coin features the striking image of a Comanche warrior in his full traditional regalia. Also featured on the coin are engravings that mention the tribe being represented, the face value of the coin, along with the weight, metal content, and purity.

The reverse design of the 2016 Proof Texas Comanche Longhorn 1 oz Silver Coin features an image of the Texas Longhorn, a Texas icon almost as famous as the Lone Star itself. This cattle species is native to the area and has been raised across the state for several centuries. Also on the coin is the word Longhorn and Jamul Sovereign Nation.

The 2016 Proof Texas Comanche Longhorn 1 oz Silver Coin is the fourth design released in 2016. Each of these coins is considered to be proof specimens, with satin finishes and delicately designed artwork.

The release of new coin designs is eagerly anticipated by both collectors and investors.
