The 2016 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagle NGC MS69 | Scale Label Early Release ensures that you receive one of the world’s most popular silver bullion coins in the same condition in which it was graded. Each silver coin is made of one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and features a burnished finish.
The label on the slab features the Scales of Justice. The text includes “2016 EAGLE $1,” “EARLY RELEASES,” and “MS 69.” This means the coin has been certified Mint State 69 by the Numismatic Guarantee Corporation (NGC). A grade of MS69 indicates that the coin is in near perfect condition.
Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, the obverse features Lady Liberty walking toward a sunrise while carrying laurel and oak. An American flag is draped across her shoulders. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “2016,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, features an eagle with outstretched wings behind a shield. It holds arrows and an olive branch in its talons, while carrying a banner in its beak that is inscribed with “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” Thirteen stars sit above the eagle’s head. Additional inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
