The new Kookaburra is at Provident Metals! The highly beloved silver coin, crafted by the Perth Mint, are a favorite of collectors each year. The 2017 release is here, and this 1 oz, .999 fine silver coin is IRA eligible and an excellent way to diversify your silver collection.
This year’s reverse features not one, but two kookaburras. The graceful birds sit atop a wooden fence, keeping watch over the Australian outback. The coin’s characteristics are inscribed along the bottom border of the coin- “2017,” “1 OZ 999 SILVER.”
Following the tradition for sovereign rounds, the Perth Mint has designed the obverse with the effigy of Her Majesty, the Queen, Elizabeth II. “2017” is displayed, as well. In 1998, Ian Rank-Broadley won the opportunity to have his portrait of the Queen on all sovereign bullion.
