The coins in this listing are in near-perfect condition. The NGC has assigned each of these coins a Mint State 69 grade, which means that the coins have their full, original mint luster. A maximum of two minor detracting flaws are allowed on the coins. These flaws are limited to just minuscule contact marks and hairlines, which can only occur outside of the primary focal areas.
Obverse
The obverse face of each coin bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II. She is featured in right-profile relief in this design by Jody Clark. This fifth-generation image was created in 2015 to showcase the Queen at age 89. In the image, she is seen wearing earrings and the Royal Diadem crown. The background is hammered.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the coins, you will see the Red Dragon of Wales. This heraldic beast was a popular symbol within the House of Tudor. King Henry VIII was especially fond of the Red Dragon, which was originally the symbol of Owen Tudor. In this design, the Red Dragon supports the shield of Llewelyn ap Griffith, the last native Prince of Wales. His shield features a leopard in each of its quarters.
