The reverse of this coin features the Unicorn of Scotland with a chain around its neck. The Unicorn rears behind a shield that bears a lion. The unicorn is a national symbol of Scotland and features on the royal coat of arms of Scotland. Inscriptions read “UNICORN OF SCOTLAND”, and “2017”.
The obverse of the Unicorn of Scotland coin features Queen Elizabeth II, and the inscriptions “D”, “G”, “RFG”, “F”, “D”, “5 POUNDS”, and “ELIZABETH II”.
