Obverse

Queen Elizabeth II, the current ruling monarch, is featured on the obverse of these coins. This design is exclusive to Pobjoy Mint. As the great-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-reigning monarch back in 2012.

Reverse

The image on the reverse of each coin is that of Queen Victoria as Lady Una from the poem The Faerie Queene, which was written in 1590. This design by William Wyon shows the Queen with a scepter in her right hand that she uses to guide the lion. Above the image is the Latin phrase Dieu Et Mon Droit, which translates to God on my Right.

History

The William Wyon design featured on these coins from the British Virgin Islands by Pobjoy Mint was made to honor the design on coinage from the time when Queen Victoria was ruling over Great Britain.
