Since its introduction in 1979, the Royal Canadian Mint’s Gold Maple Leaf has been one of the best-selling gold bullion coins on earth. Highlights

  • Contain 1/2 troy oz of .9999 fine gold and bears a $20 Canadian legal tender face value.
  • Real-time prices are locked in at the time of the order.
  • Fast, free, and discreet shipping in flips or tubes.
  • Quickly and easily sell back your coins to Provident Metals at industry-leading prices.

Obverse

Like most of the Royal Canadian Mint’s coins, the obverse of the 1/2 oz Gold Maple features a right-profile view of Queen Elizabeth II designed by coin artist Susanna Blunt. You’ll also find inscriptions of “ELIZABETH II,” “20 DOLLARS,” and “2019.”

Reverse

The reverse displays the exquisite maple leaf design that gives these coins their name. A tiny textured maple leaf, a security measure from the Royal Canadian Mint, is barely visible under the larger one. The coin’s year of issue is visible on the small leaf under magnification. The engravings “CANADA,” “FINE GOLD 1/2 OZ OR PUR,” and “9999” are also found on the reverse.

About The Royal Canadian Mint

All Canadian Maple Leaf coins are produced at the Royal Canadian Mint. The Mint opened in 1908 with a sole facility in Ottawa and later expanded to add a facility in Winnipeg in 1978. Today, the two locations form one of the most sophisticated minting operations in the world. The Mint’s unique combination of captivating designs, premier craftsmanship, and advanced security technologies have revolutionized the coinage and bullion industries.
