Obverse
On the obverse, 2019 Montserrat Emerald Isle of the Caribbean Coin is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Montserrat remains a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean and uses the Eastern Caribbean dollar as its currency. The right-profile portrait of Her Majesty seen here was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley and depicts the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Known to be her favorite, the tiara was gifted to Mary of Teck upon her marriage to King George V. Queen consort of the United Kingdom, Mary of Teck is the grandmother of Queen Elizabeth II.
Reverse

The harp is the national symbol of Ireland and the harp includes the female personification of Ireland, Erin, on one side of the frame. History
Montserrat is still known to this day as the Emerald Isle of the Caribbean. When the United Kingdom took over the island as a colony, Irish sailors in the Royal Navy and indentured servants from Ireland that came to Montserrat were taken aback by the resemblance of the islands coastline to that of Ireland. Hence the name, Emerald Isle of the Caribbean.
