Shaped silver coins are not a common issue by any mint. Obverse
The obverse design field features a small depiction of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief on the left wing of the eagle. This is the fifth-generation design for Australian and Commonwealth coins in the South Pacific. It depicts the Queen in right-profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. In the center of the eagles body, you will find the individual serial number assigned to the coin. The right wing has the weight, purity, and metal content.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the coin are design elements that bring the bald eagle to life. You can see the detail of the birds beak, its eyes, feathers, and its talons. The bird is depicted in flight as it swoops down to capture its prey in its powerful talons.
History
The Hunters of the Sky Series will feature three silver coins in total with each silver coin shaped like the aerial predator it is meant to reflect. The bald eagle is one of the worlds largest aerial predators and easily recognized for its white feathers on its head.
