History

These particular 2020 American Eagle Gold Coins are designated as Mint Error-Reverse Struck Thru specimens by the NGC. This means the NGC has identified small errors on the coins resulting from interference during the coining process. In most cases, a portion or several portions of the design element did not strike clearly onto the coin because an item such as cloth or wire strands got between the die and the blank, resulting in an imperfect strike.
