Certified American Eagle Gold Coins are those that have been received by the NGC or PCGS for grading of the mint luster, design strike, and surface areas. All certified coins are given a numeric grade from 1 to 70, with 70 representing a perfect grade. Provident Metals now offers 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins online in near-perfect condition.

The Sheldon numeric scale is the one used to grade bullion coins. Few coins receive the top two grades of MS69 and MS70, with the former representing a near-perfect coin and the latter a perfect coin. Once the coins are graded, each one is sealed in a protective plastic slab to ensure the quality of the condition for decades to come.

Lady Liberty as designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens is featured on the obverse of 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins. Liberty is free and powerful in this design as she walks toward the viewer with a torch held high in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. You can see the US Capitol Building at her feet and a ring of 50 stars, one for each US state, around her figure.

American bald eagles have been the emblem of the nation since 1792 when the Founding Fathers chose it for its longevity, power, and majesty. These 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins feature a male eagle flying over the family nest that contains a female and a young hatchling.

American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins debuted in 1986 with the other three weights in the bullion series. The US Mint must strike the American Eagle Gold Coins each year to meet demand under the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985. The 1/4 oz gold coins have been one of the lowest minted in the series and had the lowest mintages in any given year six times in the 35-year history of the series.

When you order 2020 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins, you receive a Mint State 69 coin. Items in this condition have full, original mint luster and no more than two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this level include minuscule contact marks or hairlines. Early Release labels denote coins received within the first 30 days of the US Mints 2020 Gold Eagle release.
