In the background field, the natural landscape of Cameroon is featured along with another Mandrill posed on all fours along a ridge in the background. Reverse

On the reverse of the 2020 Cameroon Mandrill Silver Coins is an image of the Cameroonian coat of arms. The national seal includes a shield with three separate fields within. The central field has an outline of the nations shape with the scales of justice superimposed over it. The scales of justice are topped by a single star. Inscriptions on this face read Paix, Travail, Patrie within the design field, which translates into English as the national motto of Peace, Work, Fatherland. Other inscriptions include 2020, Republique du Cameroun and 500 Francs CFA.
