The Spy Who Loved Me was the name of the 10^th novel from Ian Fleming, the British author who developed the James Bond character in the first novel released in 1953. Flemings original novels were adapted for the big screen nine years after the release of his first novel, with The Spy Who Loved Me being the 10^th feature film as well. Roger Moore depicted James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me. This was the third time Moore featured in the titular role as the secret spy and the 1977 film was one of seven appearances for Moore as Bond.

The Lotus Esprit was a sports car built in the United Kingdom from 1976 to 2004. All of the cars were designed to replicate the appearance of polygonal, folded paper designs. The S1 was the first model in the series and was available from 1976 to 1978.
