The Spy Who Loved Me was the name of the 10th novel from Ian Fleming, the British author who developed the James Bond character in the first novel released in 1953. Flemings original novels were adapted for the big screen nine years after the release of his first novel, with The Spy Who Loved Me being the 10th feature film as well. Roger Moore depicted James Bond in The Spy Who Loved Me. This was the third time Moore featured in the titular role as the secret spy and the 1977 film was one of seven appearances for Moore as Bond.

Queen Elizabeth II is featured in the obverse design of the 2020 Proof British Pay Attention 007 1/2 oz Silver Coin. The Queen is shown in right-profile relief with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head at the age of 89. This is the fifth depiction of Her Majesty on British coins and it was designed by Jody Clark in 2015. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include 1 Pound, 2020, Elizabeth II, and D.G. Reg. F.D.

Wet Nellie was the name of Bonds sports car in The Spy Who Loved Me and it appears on the reverse of 2020 Proof British Pay Attention 007 Silver Coins. The Lotus Esprit S1 sports car was first produced in 1976 and featured in the 1977 film as Bonds primary sports car. This mode of transportation wasnt limited to the road as it was modified for use as a submarine for Bond to use. Inscriptions read Pay Attention 007.

The Lotus Esprit was a sports car built in the United Kingdom from 1976 to 2004. All of the cars were designed to replicate the appearance of polygonal, folded paper designs. The S1 was the first model in the series and was available from 1976 to 1978.
