Queen Elizabeth II is featured in the obverse design of the 2020 St. Vincent & the Grenadines Silver Coin release. The image of the Queen is flanked by two large fern leaves that cross below the portrait of Her Majesty. In the design, Queen Elizabeth II is shown in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. The effigy shown here was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley for the Royal Mint of England. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, 1 oz .999 Silver, Queen Elizabeth II, and Two Dollars.

Reverse

The national coat of arms for St. Vincent is found on the reverse side of 2020 St. Vincent & the Grenadines Silver Coins. This national seal features two women at the center, one standing with an olive branch extended over the other who is kneeling with the scales of justice held out over a gold altar. The seal is set against a background field that boasts a diamond pattern and comes with inscriptions of Saint Vincent & The Grenadines, 2020, and Pax Et Justitia.

History

St. Vincent & the Grenadines is one of the seven full-fledged members of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States. The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank was established to provide stable monetary policies for these states. Since then, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe, and Martinique have joined the OECS as associate members, with only Anguilla adopting the Eastern Caribbean Dollar and the oversight of the ECCB. As such, Anguilla appears in the EC8 Series from the Scottsdale Mint, while the other three do not.
