The 2021 American Eagle Gold Coin release at the United States Mint is set to be the most significant in the series since its 1986 debut. More than just the 35th anniversary of the series, the 2021 date is both the first dual-design date mark in the series and the first design change since 1986 when the collection launched. Provident Metals currently has perfect condition 2021 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins available to you for purchase online.
When you purchase one of these 2021 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins, you will receive a coin that is in perfect condition. The NGC assigns a Mint State 70 grade to coins that showcase full, original mint luster and come with no detracting flaws of any kind on the surface areas or design elements. The Early Release label assigned to the coins means each one was received for grading within 30 days of the release date at the US Mint.
The obverse side of 2021 American Eagle Gold Coins depicts the historic vision of Lady Liberty from Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Created in 1907, this design shows Liberty walking toward the viewer with Washington DC in the background. There are rays of sunshine emerging from the horizon behind her figure as she walks forward holding out her torch to light the way and clutching an olive branch in her left hand. A ring of 50 stars encircles the entire design element. The inscriptions on this face read Liberty and 2021.
On the reverse face of the 2021 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin is a family of American bald eagles. This design from Miley Busiek has graced the coins since 1986 and was created specifically for this series. The image features a male eagle flying above the nest as a female eagle and hatchling shelter in the nest. Inscriptions include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, In God We Trust, and 1/10 oz. Fine Gold – 5 Dollars.
For the first time ever, the United States Mint is changing one of the design elements on the American Eagle Gold Coin. Miley Busieks original design will appear early in 2021, but by mid-2021, the new design of an American bald eagles head in left-profile relief will debut in the series.
