The America the Beautiful series from the United States Mint offers something for both investors and collectors. All of the 56 designs in this series are available as Brilliant Uncirculated coins and Burnished coins direct from the US Mint, with third-party authorized dealers also offering BU coins that have been colorized after leaving the US Mint. The Burnished coin is one of the most visually attractive coins available. Provident Metals currently has the 2021-P Burnished ATB Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site 5 oz Silver Coins available to you for online purchase.
When you purchase a 2021-P Burnished ATB Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site 5 oz Silver Coin at Provident Metals, you will receive a silver coin that is beautifully packaged by the United States Mint. The coin is housed in a capsule and presented inside of a US Mint box. The coin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from the United States Mint.
The obverse of the 2021-P Burnished ATB Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site 5 oz Silver Coins includes a bust of President George Washington. This left-profile bust of President Washington was created in 1932 by John Flanagan for use on the US quarter and is based on a 1786 sculpture of the President. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read United States of America, Liberty, In God We Trust, Quarter Dollar, and the P mint mark of the Philadelphia Mint.
On the reverse side of 2021-P Burnished ATB Tuskegee Airmen Silver Coins is a depiction of one of the many airmen who trained at Moton Field during World War II. This individual is snapping his flight cap on in preparation for a training flight as the tower at Moton Field is featured in the background. Overhead, a pair of P-51 Mustangs fly by in a tight formation. The inscriptions on this side of the coin include Alabama, Tuskegee Airmen, E Pluribus Unum, 2021, and They Fought Two Wars.
The Burnished ATB coins come on specially prepared blanks. The US Mint rolls the blanks in a drum with a polishing medium that creates a clean, matte finish to the blank. Each one is struck individually by the US Mint with just one strike in the coining press. The coins are then removed by gloved hands and immediately packaged at the US Mint.
