Chinese Panda Gold Coins have one standout feature that you wont find on many, if any, other major gold bullion coin programs. In 2016, the Chinese Mint abandoned the popular use of Troy oz as the primary unit of weight marked on its coins. History

The 3 Gram Gold Coin in this series was originally issued as the 1/10 oz gold coin from 1982 to 2015. The 2016 transition to the 3 Gram weight resulted in a slight drop in the overall weight from 3.1103 Grams to 3 Grams, with the diameter increased ever so slightly from 17.95 MM to 18 MM.
