Obverse
The obverse of the coins in the 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollar Silver 6-Coin Set includes portraits of Liberty. On the Morgan Dollars, you will find a left-profile bust of Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, coronet crown, and laurel wreath. The Peace Dollar shows Liberty in left-profile relief with flowing hair and a towering crown.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollar Silver Coins in this 6-Coin Set, you will find the image of the American bald eagle. For the Morgan Dollar, the heraldic eagle is featured in front-facing relief. For the Peace Dollar, the eagle is shown from the back as it rests on a ledge with its wings at its sides.
History
The 2021 release of these coins honors the 100th anniversary of the last time the US Mint issued Morgan Dollars and the first time it issued a Peace Dollar. The set features five Morgan Dollars representing the Philadelphia Mint, San Francisco Mint, Carson City Mint, New Orleans Mint, and the Denver Mint. The Philadelphia Mint struck three coins: one with no mint mark, one with a CC privy, and one with an O privy. It also issued the lone Peace Dollar in the set. The San Francisco and Denver Morgan Dollars have S and D mint marks, respectively.
