She is carrying the branches of oak and laurel in her left hand and reaches out for the sun with her right hand. The American flag is draped around her figure. Inscriptions include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.

Reverse

For the final time, the heraldic eagle is depicted in the reverse design of 2021 (S) American Eagle Silver Coins. The image was modified for this series in 1986 by John Mercanti and comes with a depiction of the bald eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield in front of it. The eagle is clutching the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace in its talons. The inscriptions read United States of America and 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar.

History

American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins will feature a new depiction of the bald eagle in flight come mid-2021. These particular 2021 American Eagle Silver Coins were produced at the San Francisco Mint, but have no mint marks. The coins arrived from the US Mint in Monster Boxes that have serial numbers identifying the San Francisco Mint as the point of origin.
