The design from Donna Weaver includes inscriptions of With Freedom of Religion and Liberty Grows. Other markings include In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum, and 2021.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Platinum Coins is a design that debuted on the coins in 2018. Created by Patricia Lucas-Morris, it depicts an American bald eagle flying into view with its wings swooping around its figure as its talons are extended out beneath its figure as it clutches an olive branch. The inscriptions feature United States of America, $100, 1 oz., and .9995 Platinum. The W mint mark of the West Point Mint is featured on this side as well.

History

The Freedom of Religion design is the first in the new First Amendment to the United States Constitution Series. Scheduled to run from 2021 to 2025, the new obverse designs will focus on how Liberty is nurtured and matures through the five foundational freedoms enshrined in the First Amendment. The upcoming designs include, in order, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Right to Assembly, and Right to Petition.
