The 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Silver Coin brings the first refresh to the coins visuals in its three-plus decades in production. The new design appears in the second half of 2021 as the new Type 2 coins are issued, meaning the heraldic eagle featured on 2021 Type 1 coins is retired from use. The outer shipper for the presentation box features an artistic image of the new bald eagle design from the reverse, with Walking Liberty on the Certificate of Authenticity. Each coin has frosted designs and mirrored fields and a W mint mark from the West Point Mint.
Obverse
The obverse of 2021-W Proof American Eagle Silver Coins includes Walking Liberty. This left-profile image of Liberty includes the American flag draped around her figure as her right hand extends toward the sun and her left carries the branches of oak and laurel. You will now find the AW initials from Weinman featured on this side of the coin as his traditional signature mark, an inclusion that brings the design closer to the original artwork from Weinman. Other inscriptions include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the American bald eagle. This new design shows the eagle descending into the field of view with its wings flexed and its talons clutching an oak branch. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, 1 oz. Fine Silver, One Dollar, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.

Emily Damstras design now appears on the reverse of 2021 American Eagle Silver Coins. Ms. Damstras design beat out 30-plus other designs to be the new face of the reverse field on the American Eagle Silver Coin.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
