History
The Australian Lunar Series is produced by the Perth Mint and began in 1999 with the Year of the Rabbit. Every twelve years, the series begins a new phase in accordance with the Chinese Calendar. In 2020, phase three began with the Year of the Rat. In 2022, it continues with the tiger. This series remains extremely popular for both coin collectors and fans of the Chinese zodiac.
