History

In 2021, the Royal Mint introduced four new security features on the reverse side of the British Britannias. These include micro-text engravings around the design field with Britannia at the center. There are now tincture lines on the Union Jack shield. Also included are two motion effects. The background field has a wave-motion texture field and the latent security image changes from a padlock to a trident based on your viewing angle.
