The middle weight available in the Chinese Panda Gold Series is the 8-gram option, a coin formerly issued as the 1/4 oz gold coin. Obverse
The obverse of 2022 Chinese Panda Gold Coins comes with an image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. Built between 1406 and 1420, the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests is at the center of the Temple of Heaven Complex in Beijing and has appeared on the obverse of gold coins in this series since 1982. The wider edge of the design field on this side has an inscription of PEOPLES REBPULIC OF CHINA in Hanzi, as well as a date mark of 2022.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2022 Chinese Panda 8 Gram Gold Coins is a depiction of two Giant Pandas. These playful bears are enjoying some cold weather by sliding down a snowy hill. As one of the bears slides down the hill head-first on its stomach, its companion slides down on its back with all four legs in the air. Inscriptions on this field read 8 G, AU, .999, and the face value of 100.
History
This year is the 40th anniversary of the Chinese Panda Gold Coin Series. All five weights in the gold series and the 30 Gram coin in the silver series feature a 40th-anniversary privy mark. This mark is on the reverse of the gold coins and features the digits 40 with a panda in the 0.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
