History
Obi-Wan Kenobi trained a young Anakin Skywalker as his Padawan two decades before the original trilogy is set. Anakin was believed to be able to bring balance to the Force, but instead turned on his Jedi Master and the light side of the Force to adopt the principles of the dark side. Obi-Wan would eventually sacrifice himself against Darth Vader, the former Anakin Skywalker, to ensure his son Luke Skywalker could escape.
